What we collect

When you request an appointment, we collect your name, phone number, email, the service you want, your preferred time, any note you add, and any referral code you enter. When you upload documents, we receive the files you choose and any note you add.

How we use it

We use your information to schedule your appointment, prepare and file your taxes, contact you about your return, and track $30 referral rewards. Your client code is emailed to you so you can refer friends and upload documents.

How your documents are protected

• Uploads require your client code plus a one-time code from Cowana.
• Files are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored encrypted.
• Your documents are not attached to emails. Cowana opens them on a password-protected page.
• Uploaded files are deleted automatically 90 days after upload.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. We share it only as needed to prepare and file your return (for example, with the IRS and state tax agencies) or when required by law.
